Research interest:

My current research interests span from expression of recombinant enzymes in prokaryotic system to structure elucidation and modification of enzymes for improved properties. Current focus is on extremophilic enzymes including cold-adapted and thermostable enzymes specifically hydrolases and oxidoreductases. The main goals are to identify key underlying factors related to their adaptation strategies at extreme environments and explore the potential of these enzymes in various applications including biodegradation of environmental contaminants and biocatalysis. The research involves both computational and experimental approaches.
