Research interest:

My research focuses on improving or changing the characteristics of enzymes such as lipases, phytases and plastics degrading enzymes for thermal, solvent and pH stabilities using protein engineering approaches to overcome the limitation of biocatalysts for industrial, agricultural and environmental applications. Structure based drug discovery is also focused to search for potential inhibitors with antibacterial properties. Therefore, in silico molecular dynamics simulations and X-ray crystallography are also undertaken to understand the behaviors of protein under particular environments and protein-ligand interactions to give insights into protein tailoring and drug discovery.
