Research interest:

My research focuses on the development of a yeast expression system using Meyerozyma guilliermondii for recombinant protein expression. The metabolic pathway analysis, genome editing, and proteomic analysis are implemented to improve protein expression. The structures of the virulence factors and proteases are predicted to understand the yeast behaviors. A web-based prediction system coupled with a curated database is developed to facilitate the recombinant lipase expression in Komagataella phaffii. The new lipases and antifreeze peptide from yeast are also isolated and designed to be used in cheese making industries and others.
