Research interest:

I am always fascinated by protein structures, protein interactions and stabilization. I have focused my fascinatination into three main areas:

  1. Understanding the relationship between the molecular structure of a protein and the conformational changes that control its function as catalysts and inhibitors.
  2. Learning how the protein can be stabilized.
  3. Developing and designing ‘new enzymes’ with novel and enhanced characteristics.

The current proteins of interest include lipases, laccases, carbonic anhydrases and plant defensin. I aim to explore a new world of proteins to address challenges in medicine, environment, energy, and technology.
