Pengenalan

During the last decades, animal models have become invaluable experimental tools to answer fundamental questions in basic and applied research. In addition, the growing demand for more sophisticated animal models has also become increasingly evident including transgenic animal model in research. Good state-of-principle knowledge about the enormous potential of second-generation conditional animal model technology will be beneficial for any researcher interested in using these experimental tools.

The programme focuses on the use of animal models in biomedical studies which also includes biocompatibility tests of novel biomaterials in an orthopaedic research and also cancer research. The objectives of the programme are to improve animal models for research, to enhance and encourage the use of best animal model in biomedical research, and to promote the animal welfare awareness in research.
