SMART Farming Technology
SMART Farming Technology is a green technology which includes research in precision farming, agricultural automation and robotics, and irrigation and drainage technology that will ensure sustainable agricultural production without harming the environment.
It is an integrated system of plant, animal and aquaculture production practices having a site-specific application that will over the long term satisfy human needs for food, fibre and fuel; enhance environmental quality and the natural resource base upon which the agricultural economy depends; make the most of efficient use of non renewable resources and on-farm resources; sustain the economic viability of farm operations; enhance the quality of life for farmers and society as a whole.
